Dinh is a coastal province in the South Central Vietnam, with a total natural
area of 6,025 km2; being bordered by Quang Ngai Province to the
North, by Phu Yen Province to the South, by Gia Lai Province to the West, and
by East Sea to the East; 1,065km south of
Ha Noi, 686km north of Ho Chi Minh City, 300km south of Da Nang City,
and 300km east of Bo Y International Border Gate (in Kon Tum Province) to Laos;
being one of the five provinces in the Key Economic Region of Central Vietnam
(the others are Thua Thien - Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam and Quang Ngai).
Dinh lies in the middle of the North - South route (National Road 1A and trans-Viet railway)
and is the most convenient gateway to the sea for the Central
Highlands, Southern Laos, Northeastern
Cambodia and Thailand
(through National road 19 and Quy Nhon international port). With Phu Cat
airport, it takes only 1 hour to fly between Binh Dinh and Ho Chi Minh City and more than 1 hour to fly
between Binh Dinh and Ha Noi. In the near future, the construction of Nhon Hoi
seaport of Nhon Hoi Economic Zone will improve the provincial transport
infrastructure, giving Binh Dinh a prominent advantage of regional and

The provincial population is nearly 1.5 million, more than 55% of
which is in working age.
Quy Nhon multi-disciplinary University has 40 different faculties
and fields of study (capacity: 15,000 students); 3,000 students graduate from
this university every year.
Quang Trung Private University provides training for 13 fields of study.

training and high schools are available in Quy Nhon.
An Institute (Tay Son Binh Dinh Martial Arts Institute), two
colleges, a vocational school and an International Centre for Interdisciplinary
Scientific Meetings are underway to be established shortly.
Above universities, colleges and schools annually produce thousands
of well-trained people for the province and nearby areas.
IV. HEALTH CARE FACILITIES

grade, 900 beds), 2 regional general hospitals, 1 city general hospital, 1
private general hospital, several specialized hospitals, and district
healthcare centers, and many private clinics being able to meet the demands in
healthcare and treatment in the province and the neighbouring provinces.
V. Transport network
National Road 1A goes 118km all the way through the province. National Road 1D with 19km in Binh
out of 33km in total links Quy
to Song Cau District of Phu Yen Province on National Road 1A.
National Road 19 goes 70km in Binh Dinh and links
the province to the Highlands, Northeastern Cambodia, Southern Laos and Thailand.
Coastal road Nhon Hoi - Tam Quan, 107km long,

The present capacity of water
supply in Quy Nhon City
is 45,000 m3 per day (to be raised to 48,000 m3).
The water supply capacity of Phu Tai Industrial
Zone is 8,500 m3 per day.
The water supply capacity of Nhon Hoi Economic
Zone is 12,000 m3 per day (phase 1, the water supply project with
capacity of 9,000m3 per day is underway).
The water supply capacity of 9 townships in the
province is 21,300 m3 per day.
VIIi. Post and TelecommunicationS
The provincial post and telecom network provides
all kinds of services which can promptly meet the demands of information
exchange and communication.
Until now, the total number of telephones in the
whole province is almost 1.7 million (of which about 1.4 million are mobile
phones and about 240,000 are landline phones), achieving 115

Binh Dinh is the land of martial arts, the cradle of the 18th
century farmer movement with the well-known name of National Hero Nguyen Hue or
King Quang Trung and also the homeland that cultivated the talent of such famous
cultural persons as Dao Tan, Han Mac Tu, Xuan Dieu, Che Lan Vien, Yen Lan,
etc.; home to many kinds of traditional arts.
Binh Dinh used to be the ancient Capital of Champa Kingdom, and its
relics include Do Ban (Vijaya) Citadel and 14 Cham Towers
with unique architectural art.
The coastline is long with many beautiful bays, beaches, harmonious
and attractive sea scapes such as: Tam Quan, Tan Thanh, Vinh Hoi, Trung Luong,
Hai Giang, Salangane Island, Queen's Beach, Quy Hoa, Long Beach, etc. The province is now focusing
its investment in tourism development, especially tourist infrastructure
